Data stored on your device

Setsumei stores onboarding status, sentence history, saved sentences, and review-prompt eligibility on your device using Apple platform storage. You can clear sentence history and saved sentences from Settings. Removing the app also removes its local data, subject to the behavior of device backups managed by Apple.

Grammar analysis and translation

Grammar detection, word analysis, and contextual classification run inside the app using bundled resources.

Japanese-to-English translation uses Apple’s Translation framework. iOS may connect to Apple to download Japanese and English language packs. After the required language packs are installed, translation is performed on device. Apple’s handling of language-pack downloads is governed by Apple’s privacy policy.

Support and grammar reports

When you report a bug, ask a question, or report a grammar explanation, Setsumei opens your email app with a draft. Nothing is sent until you choose to send the message. Depending on the action, the draft may include:

• your email address and message;
• the Japanese sentence and grammar point you chose to report;
• the Setsumei version and build number;
• your device model identifier; and
• your iOS version.

Messages are sent to apps@kulman.sk and are used to respond to the request and improve Setsumei. Do not include information you do not want to share.

Analytics, advertising, and tracking

The Setsumei app does not include advertising SDKs, third-party analytics SDKs, or cross-app tracking. Setsumei does not sell personal data.

When you install a beta through TestFlight, Apple may provide crash, session, installation, and tester-feedback information through App Store Connect. Apple controls that processing under its own terms and privacy policy.

This website

This website does not set cookies or embed analytics, advertising, or tracking scripts. Like most websites, its hosting infrastructure may process ordinary request information, such as an IP address and browser details, to deliver and secure the site.

External links and licensed content

Setsumei can open source, license, corpus, and Tatoeba pages in your browser. Those websites receive information normally sent by your browser and operate under their own privacy policies.

Children

Setsumei does not knowingly collect personal information from children. Support messages are optional and are sent only when the user chooses to send an email.

Changes

This policy may be updated when Setsumei’s data practices change. The effective date above identifies the current version.
